EMOTIONS OF HOME DECOR: COLLAGES ON ACRYLIC
PERSONAL WORK
The images of nature we keep and collect in our homes often reflect human desires for perfection, mystery, uniqueness, and love. In this work, I collect photos sold as home decor around three central key words, “Enchanted,” “Majestic,” and “Tender,” and collage them together. These collages are UV printed on sheets of acrylic. Each element is outlined, numbered, and labeled with laser-cutting. The labels on the bottom of each panel form an emergent poem around each theme. The collages expore how humans distort the original forms of nature to find meaning.
